Though true Christianity uniquely involves
a personal relationship with Jesus Christ,
it is also a corporate experience.
Christians cannot grow spiritually as they ought to
in isolation from one another. - Gene Getz
Followers of Christ often struggle to connect with others and feel the need to hide our weaknesses from the church community.
In our Growth Group led by Dr. Frank MacArthur, we share our thoughts, experiences and growing edges and challenge each other
to personal growth toward Christian maturity. Our goal is to connect deeper with each other,
although the process is not always easy or comfortable, and learn to trust each other in love.
Frank Mac Arthur, Psy.D. has a longstanding interest in helping Christians find the fulfilling life Christ promised his followers.
In search of this cause, he attended the Rosemead School of Psychology, which emphasizes the integration of psychology and theology.
Receiving his doctorate in 1996, he went on to become the Director of the Department of Psychology at the Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital in 1999,
and later taught at the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling/Alliance Theological Seminary, where he was most known in his role as Director of Internships.
Dr. Mac Arthur is in private practice in Oakland, NJ, and has recently begun forming relationships with churches interested in developing
intensive growth groups designed to foster the sanctification process through the development of relationships with both God and others.
He is available for speaking engagements.
